Employer Services
The South Central Ohio Workforce Partnership offers a variety of FREE services and resources to employers in the area. The following is a list of some of the services and resources that can be provided:
Applicant Prescreening
Services are available to assist employers with application/resume collection and applicant prescreening for specific job requirements.
Apprenticeship Information
Access to information on how employers can work with ApprenticeOhio for registered apprenticeship programs.
Customized Training (CT)
The CT program helps employers hire and train individuals for long-term employment. This is an opportunity for an employer to receive referrals of applicants that meet the program requirements. When the employer commits to hire or continue to employ the individual upon completion of the employer-specific training, then the employer is reimbursed a portion of the costs related to the job training.
Employee Development & Skill Enhancement
Funding may be available for training that assists employees learn specific knowledge or skills to improve performance in their current roles.
Incumbent Worker Training (IWT)
The IWT program helps employers retain and further train individuals already employed at the company. If the employer retains the employee, then the employer is reimbursed a portion of the costs related to the job training.
Job Fairs or Hiring Events
Employers can host and participate in hiring events at the OMJ centers in each county. Hiring events are a great way to connect with job seekers and share employment opportunities.
Job Posting Assistance
Services provided to help businesses post job openings on OhioMeansJobs.com and on job boards/job books at each OMJ center.
Job Shadowing/Work Experience
Short-term unpaid activities to introduce a participant to the workplace and provide exposure to occupational areas of interest to increase career awareness.
OhioMeansJobs Center Orientation
An activity provided to introduce employers to the OhioMeansJobs center and the partners and services available to businesses through the center.
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
The OJT program helps employers hire and train individuals for long-term employment. This is an opportunity for an employer to receive referrals of applicants that meet the program requirements. If the employer hires the individual, then the employer is reimbursed a portion of the costs related to the job training.
Workforce Special Events
Employer workshops and presentations can be conducted to share information on available services and resources to employers in the area.
Veteran Employer Contact
Information gathering activities pertaining to identifying employers seeking to hire veterans.
